Join The Ember Alliance and The Boulder Watershed Collective to learn how to build proper slash piles that burn efficiently and effectively. Protect your home, forest, and watershed from wildfire.
This workshop is for Front Range landowners mitigating catastrophic wildfire threat to property and forest. Please reach out to friends or family in the area looking to learn about fuels mitigation and pile building. Experienced wildland firefighters from The Ember Alliance will be present, along with a representative from the Colorado State Forest Service. Bring your questions about forest management, thinning, pile construction and pile burning. Lunch will be provided for all workshop participants.
